AAPEX will also host an all new event in Joe’s Garage with teams of students racing against the clock to disassemble and reassemble an engine using hand tools. The competition will feature eight pairs of students from secondary schools around the country. Quarterfinals and semifinals will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 5th and 6th, with the final set for Thursday the 7th.
At the center of Joe’s Garage will be the 10-bay shop with fully operational lifts and vehicles for hands-on learning and daily product and equipment demonstrations by exhibiting manufacturers and suppliers. Live AAPEX training on Tesla drivetrain problem solving, electric vehicles (EVs), servicing the Mach-E and advanced application of electrical theory will take place in Bay 6.
The ADAS stage will include product introductions, essential training, and the latest trends and insights from industry leaders. An expanded EV Experience will highlight products and services on the show floor, while presentations and training on electric vehicle repair and service will take place on the EV Stage.
Training partners, ATRA and WorldPac/WTI, have joined the Joe’s Garage lineup, offering approximately 20 sessions. More than 100 AAPEX-programmed and exhibitor-supplied technical and business management training opportunities will take place during the event. This year, ASE has identified sessions on the AAPEX training schedule that will help attendees prepare for ASE certifications.
In addition, Joe’s Garage will include special sections dedicated to Tools & Equipment, Diagnostics/Telematics/Shop Management Solutions, Tire Servicing and Transmission Supplier.
